the importance of voting
I am not allowed to vote.
As a resident alien of the United States (and someone who is going through the tedious and expensive process of trying to become a citizen), it doesn’t matter how many years I’ve been in the country. It doesn’t matter how much I know about the political system and history of this country.
I’m not going to discuss whether or not I think that’s a good or bad thing because that’s pretty irrelevant.
I am going to say that every American should go out there and exercise their right to vote. But if you haven’t registered, do it quickly; in North Carolina, tomorrow’s your last day.
Also, I guess I did vote in a way:
Heh.
